Presented as a turning point in the history of civilization, the “Trump Plan” for Gaza is nothing more than a colonial, enslaving ultimatum to the Palestinian resistance and the Palestinian masses. It is no coincidence that Netanyahu immediately claimed that it achieves the fundamental objectives of the ongoing genocidal operation, starting with the first: the total destruction of Hamas and the Palestinian resistance forces and their complete exclusion from any future political function.
As for the oppressed Palestinian masses of Gaza and the West Bank, the democratic message is: you have no right to self-government, to self-determination because you are guilty of rebelling against your masters, against our colonial order. For this reason, we will choose your future “Palestinian” administrators, who will be under the command of a “Peace Council” presided over by the war and peace criminals Trump and Blair. The living space allowed for you is to serve as low-cost laborers for our plans to “reconstruct” Gaza for our strategic and enriching purposes.
These are the only certainties in the sham “peace agreement” signed between the United States and the Zionist state — along with the release of Israeli prisoners, all at once within 72 hours. There are no specific obligations for Israel. The timing and methods of the IDF’s withdrawal from Gaza are extremely vague. Netanyahu even claims that the IDF “will remain in most of Gaza.” However, this will only be discussed after the total destruction of Hamas and the resistance forces’ defense infrastructure. Equally vague is the commitment to restore the food supplies needed to end the current famine.
The only sweeteners granted to the Palestinian resistance are the release of a certain number of prisoners and the promise of an amnesty for those who surrender — an amnesty that Israel can renege on at any time, under any pretext. After all, didn’t it bomb resistance emissaries in Qatar during a negotiation? It’s clear that ferocity, cowardice, and the certainty of impunity have always been inherent in the Zionist regime, and are now completely unchecked. This, in exchange for total and definitive surrender, the end of the “Palestinian question.”
Making the diktat —”either you accept, or we will carry out the genocide” — more brutal is the consensus of the PA, servile more than ever, ready to cancel all benefits to the families of fallen fighters in the liberation struggle, and the appreciation of many Arab and Islamic countries (from Egypt to Saudi Arabia, from Pakistan to Indonesia). The leaders of these countries are eager for the Palestinian people to be crushed because they fear the contagion effect of their rebellion.
While Islamic Jihad has rejected the plan (‘a recipe for continued aggression against the Palestinian people’), Hamas’s response appears prudent. Its internal divisions weigh heavily, between those who have cursed the cowardice of Arab and Islamic states and governments, and those who have not ceased, and will not cease, to see them as potential allies — a baseless illusion.
But whatever decision the various components of the Palestinian resistance make, we have the political duty to denounce the “Trump Plan” as the completion of the infamous “Balfour Declaration” of 1917, which is at the root of the tragedy of the Palestinian people. The old masters of the Western world claim to permanently erase this people from the face of the Middle East and the world. Palestinians have dared too much; they deserve exemplary punishment. The Meloni government agrees. And the so-called ‘friends of the Palestinians’? Well, Putin’s Russia ‘supports and welcomes’ the Trump plan. And so does the European Union, although Netanyahu has clearly reiterated that there will be no Palestinian state, and that Trump agrees with him.
Since Palestine has become the homeland of the oppressed and exploited from around the world, it is now up to the international movement of solidarity with Palestine to raise its voice and take to the streets to fight against the Trump plan, to prevent the strangulation of Palestinian resistance and the placing of all Palestinians under a colonialist guardianship. This is the rallying cry that must be heard loudly during the days of struggle on October 3rd and 4th!
